Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

Updated: Apr 21, 2020

From my kitchen to yours, I hope you enjoy these chocolate chip cookies as much as my family and I do. There's nothing like a nice warm chocolate chip cookie to make all your problems fade away. You can truly customize them to your liking and they'll turn out wonderful regardless. Hope you enjoy this recipe!

Instructions:

  • 2 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup of unsalted softened butter

  • 1 cup of packed brown sugar

  • 1/2 cup of white granulated sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract

  • 1 tsp. of baking soda

  • 1/2 tsp of salt

  • 1 package of semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips

  • Feel free to add any other baking chips, or ingredients such as chips, pretzels, marshmallows

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.

  2. Feel free to use a stand-mixer, hand-mixer, or a spatula for mixing ingredients. Combine butter and both brown and white sugars. Make sure to scrape down the bowl so it all incorporates.

  3. Now add your eggs, one at a time. Mix well. Next, add vanilla extract and combine.

  4. Add baking soda and salt to all-purpose flour and whisk until combined. Gradually add the flour to the wet butter and sugar mixture.

  5. Add chocolate chips and any other ingredients you'd like to at this time.

  6. Use an ice cream scoop or spoon to measure out about 2 tablespoons of dough. Bake on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet for 8 to 12 minutes depending on the size of your cookie and oven temperature.

  7. Let cool. Enjoy!

  8. Please note: Your cookie dough can be stored in the refrigerator or freezer if you do not want to use it immediately. Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 7 days or frozen for a few months.
